Women for Tomorrow-SL (W4T-SL) is a non-profit organization founded in 2021 by Dr. Joseph Conteh and Mrs. Finda Fanta M'Briwa, with a vision to empower women, particularly those in rural areas, to create sustainable livelihoods. Originally started as an initiative to support women traders in the Waterloo market, the organization has expanded its reach to address critical issues such as education, economic empowerment, and social inclusion. In 2025, W4T-SL was officially registered as a non-governmental organization (NGO) with Mrs. Finda Fanta M'Briwa appointed as the Country Executive Director. W4T-SL remains committed to enhancing the well-being and opportunities for women and youth in Sierra Leone, particularly through initiatives that focus on economic sustainability, education, and leadership development.
Our Story

Women for Tomorrow-SL (W4T-SL) was born out of the passion and determination of Dr. Joseph Conteh, who founded the organization in 2021. At the time, Dr. Conteh saw the struggles that women faced and offered his support, working alongside Madam Finda Fanta M'Briwa to empower women traders and help them thrive.
Dr. Conteh continued to support women across Sierra Leone, and together, Joseph and Finda kept their commitment to uplifting women in need.
By 2025, the organization had grown and evolved, and the founders recognized the need for stronger leadership to take the mission forward. They welcomed other committed women into the fold. Mrs. M'Briwa took on the monumental task of registering W4T-SL as a non-profit and non-governmental organization (NGO), navigating the challenges and constraints along the way.
In January 2025, W4T-SL officially became an NGO, marking a significant milestone in its journey. Today, Mrs. Finda Fanta M'Briwa serves as the Country Executive Director, while Dr. Joseph Conteh continues to guide the organization as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer. Together, we are committed to empowering women in underserved communities, ensuring they have the tools, opportunities, and support to build brighter futures.
